Summer Volunteer Opportunities - Nicholas School Readiness Program
Nicholas School in Piqua is looking for students interested in serving volunteer hours during June and July 2010. The school’s summer program for children ages 4-6 years old provides excellent opportunities for those considering careers in early childhood education, special education, and speech language, occupational, or physical therapies to gain hands on experience working with children in a variety of settings.
The 8-week program runs from June 7-July 29 (Monday through Thursday). Program hours are 9:00-11:30 a.m.
Candidates must be:
*Minimum of 16 years old
*Willing to commit to a consistent schedule within the 8-week program. For example, Tue/Thur or Mon/Wed.
*Able to provide at least one reference (teacher, guidance counselor, or other adult in a supervisory position)
